Driving licence and eyesight
You must hold a current valid licence (either provisional or full) which must be produced on the first lesson. You must also be able to read a number plate from a distance 20.5 metres (67 feet) using your glasses if normally worn.
Lesson payments should be made at the beginning or end of each lesson. I accept Cash and personal Cheques made out to Mr Michael Ward . NO CREDIT WILL BE GIVEN, Sorry I’m not authorised to offer credit.
Where a block course is booked payment in full will be required on the first lesson. This is a non-refundable payment unless exceptional circumstances, where a refund is at my discretion
You will need to give a minimum of 24 hours notice should you need to cancel a lesson. Any lessons cancelled with out this notice period must be paid for in full before any further lessons will be booked.
If I am too ill or the vehicle has broken down and I cannot attend you’re driving lesson I will give you as much notice as possible and re-book your lesson for another day / time. If you have booked 10 lessons for £130 and for what ever reason you or I can not continue with your lessons we will revert to standard prices. i.e. £50 per 2hr lesson, 6hrs total £150. I will not require the balance to be paid nor will I credit the remaining 4hrs
Use of the vehicle
In the interest of yours and the public’s safety, I reserve the right to withdraw the use of the training car for the driving test, if in my opinion, you’re driving is potentially or actually dangerous or you are not ready for the test.
After arriving at your nominated pick up point for your lesson but there is no reply at the address in question, I will wait approximately 10 minutes. If after 10 minutes, you have not made contact or we are unable to reach you, the lesson will be abandoned and you will be required to pay for the lesson(s) in question.
Tests, although paid for by the candidate are not guaranteed at the end of hours booked. If the standard of driving REQUIRED BY MY SELF for the practical test has not been reached, extra hours will need to be booked, paid for and instruction given before the candidate is taken for the test. (See use of the vehicle)
If I am too ill or the vehicle has broken down and cannot attend your driving test I will try and assign you a new instructor and car so that the DSA test fee is not lost.I will refund the test fee if you cannot find another instructor to take you on your test.
I cannot be held responsible for tests cancelled by the DSA for any reason.
If I become too ill or unable to continue the training or the car has broken down, I will refund your outstanding lesson payments. If a block course has been booked I will re schedule your lesson.
